Bali and Java are two of the World’s premiere surf travel destinations, and we`ve designed an itinerary that enables intermediate and advanced surfers to experience the very best that these two islands have to offer - not only in terms of world-class breaks, but also in terms of their unique culture, breathtaking scenery, acclaimed accommodation, and delicious food.

Starting in Bali, we`ll spend four days surfing the island\'s most renown breaks (as well as some secret spots) while also exploring markets, temples & villages. We`ll then head to rural East Java for a night among the rice paddies and a hike to a volcanic crater, before heading deep into a national park for four days of surfing some of the world`s greatest breaks including G-land and several `local`s-only` spots. As always, our expert instructors will accompany the trip so you can develop your technique and push your surfing performance.

If you`re looking for a surf travel experience that delivers many of the world`s best breaks while also providing an unforgettable scenic and cultural experience, our Bali & Java tour is ideal for you.

Surf Spots

Bali and Java are famous for having some of the best surf in the world. The variety of breaks, consistency of surf, and incredible scenery make these islands paradise for surfers. Over the course of our tour you’ll have the chance to experience a wide range of Indonesia surf spots – from long, slow beach breaks to fast, barreling reef breaks.

Bali Breaks
Our first accommodation in Bali provides us with easy access to a number of quality breaks. We can walk a couple of meters to a long, easy beach break which is a great warm-up spot or we can take a short drive to the well-known breaks of Seminyak and Canggu. A little further a field we can reach the world-renown breaks of the Bukit Peninsula. Below are some of the breaks that we can access during our stay in Bali:

Kuta Beach: Gentler beach break. Great warm-up spot. Meters from our accommodation.

Canggu: Right and left play ground with numerous option. The best is a right that barrels after the take off. You\\\'re sure to find a wave that suits you at Canggu. A short drive from our accommodation.

Balangan: Another classic user friendly left. This wave works best at a low tide, or very high. Rides here can go up to 300 meters on a good day! A short drive from our accommodation.

Impossibles: This speedy left will challenge you. It works best on a super low tide. This is nice because many of the other spots require a high tide. If you pick the right wave you can get rides of 250 meters and longer on the right day! A short drive from our accommodation.

Uluwatu: Another world famous Indonesian left. Uluwatu is a surf spot synonymous with Bali surf. It lives up to its reputation regularly and usually has the best waves on the island on a regular basis. A short drive from our accommodation.

Middle Reef: This is the middle section of Kuta reef and is generally very crowd-free. The wave its self is a long workable wall. A short drive from our accommodation.

Airport lefts: This left peak is a fun wave. It stands up quick and throws. Then you have a nice shoulder to ride for a little longer after the drop. The large channel makes the paddle out very simple after a ride. A short drive from our accommodation.

Airport Rights: If the swell is filling in and the rights are available this spot offers one of the best line-ups for a right hander on Bali. Long hollow rides are on offer. Airport Rights needs a large swell to perform its magic. A short drive from our accommodation.

Secret Spots: Giving you access to uncrowded, `secret` spots is a major goal of our trip and our expert instrutors have the local knowledge needed to make this happen. Given Bali`s popularity, we can\\\'t guarantee that we will be the only ones in the water but with our local knowledge and privileged access to every spot on the island, we can access `secret` spots that offer quality waves and few people.

Java Breaks
The second stage of our journey takes us to a national park where we can surf some of the world`s most famous breaks, including the infamous G-land left! Thanks to our local knowledge, we can access breaks to suit all abilities and at several of these we are likely to be the only people surfing. Below are some of the breaks that we can access during our stay in Java:

G-land: World class left hander. One of the best left breaking waves in the world. Rides last more than 500 meters on a good day! Barrel sections have been known to produce tube rides of up to 20 sec and longer. G-land is a dream wave. Not all of it is for experts only. Intermediates can surf the relatively un-used sections of Kongs and get excellent waves. Walking distance from our accommodation

Chickens: This is a long left breaking wave across the boat channel from G-land and is a great alternative to G-land if the swell there is too big. Chickens can be excellent at high tide. Walking distance from our accommodation

20/20\\\'s: This a very fun left. It breaks at all sizes and is great for intermediate sufers who don\\\'t feel ready for G-land. The break is an easy take off but then offers tube options down the line. Most of the time this left it is a classic rideable wall of a wave that can be a blast to ride on a daily basis. On the right swell direction there is also a fast hollow right that breaks across the channel from 20/20\\\'s. 10 minute drive from our accommodation.

Tiger Tracks: This is an opportunity to surf a rare but high quality right! Tiger tracks is usually bigger than 20/20\\\'s, but smaller than G-land. It is a quality right that allows lots of playful sections as you surf down the line. 15 minute drive from our accommodation.

Secret Spots: Our instructors have spent numeorus seasons in East Java and thanks to their knowledge and our exclusive access to 4WD transportation we can access breaks that few surfers ever reach.
